Doctor Who Book Illustrations

Illustrations I was asked to make in 2016 for BBC Books.
First is a view of Gallifrey during the Time War, I was asked to make it seem embattled and at the highest point of war readiness. I've always really liked Vancian style science-fiction high magic settings, and imagine the Time Lords as a culture of scientist-sorcerers; I tried to get some of this feeling into the artwork. I was looking at 70's throwback artwork and science fiction covers.
